This exciting role is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic City initiatives to support a vibrant and diverse cultural, artistic and creative city, including creative space interventions, cultural policy development and culture-led precinct revitalisation. 

In collaboration with the Executive Manager Culture you will coordinate the delivery of both regular and unforeseen projects; build and maintain stakeholder relationships between the City and key cultural organisations, creative networks, residents, community and business groups; and proactively engage these sectors with the delivery of strategic cultural initiatives. 

To be successful you will hold tertiary qualifications at degree level in a relevant discipline and have extensive knowledge and experience in the cultural and creative sectors as well as with the government policies, programs and services that affect these sectors. Extensive experience in researching, developing, implementing and monitoring strategic cultural projects and initiatives in a local government environment and knowledge of current and best practice approaches to creative space provision and culture-led revitalisation is also required.

We need a manager who can keep the City at the leading edge of the paid parking industry by developing innovative marketing strategies, improving business performance and ensuring that our extensive service and operational contracts are managed efficiently and effectively.
 
In this exciting role you will lead the Parking Services team to implement the City Transport and Access policy and strategy across the CBD as well as be responsible for all aspects of parking meter and parking station maintenance and operation including financial management, contract management, marketing, community consultation, procurement, technology enhancements and installation projects.
 
To be successful you will need tertiary qualifications and / or demonstrated experience in a relevant field, a significant knowledge of the paid parking industry and an understanding of the latest technologies for parking equipment, on-line credit card transactions and remote payment systems.
 
As an expert contract manager, you will have exceptional contract documentation, performance management and negotiation skills together with demonstrated experience and a comprehensive understanding of developing, implementing, managing and monitoring service contracts relating to the delivery of parking services.
